Route 66 HVAC & Mechanical, an Oklahoma born and bred company, started in the heartland of America! Route 66 HVAC & Mechanical was born into existence in 2023 by Bryan Sams, an Okie with over 30 years’ experience in the HVAC industry. Bryan has worked in the field as a journeyman and contractor for many years, but his true love is to educate. In fact, Bryan has taught well over 500 students at Oklahoma vocational schools. Many of his graduates have and continue to work in the HVAC industry as journeyman or contractors in Oklahoma and all over the world. Bryan believes in the power of teaching and learning. “It’s about empowering others and leaving a lasting impact”, according to Sams. Route 66 HVAC has built upon a foundation of learning and education. Route 66 HVAC loves to educate its Oklahoma family! We don’t have customers; we have family members.
The state motto of Oklahoma is “Labor Omnia Vincit”, which translates to “Labor conquers all things”. Route 66 HVAC & Mechanical’s staff work hard to provide you with the best service possible in the heat and air industry. Every day our team meets together to discuss all the calls that have been completed the day before as well as the current day’s schedule, then we share an inspirational word of the day, followed by education and feedback, a scripture, and lastly a prayer to close. We start the day early with communication, positivity, and God to share that light and smile into Oklahoma each and every day. Route 66 HVAC & Mechanical is an unapologetically Christian based company in the heartland of the U.S.A.
Oklahoma, a land of resilience, composed of 77 counties, is the best state to live and work in. Route 66 HVAC & Mechanical takes pride in its’ Okie heritage and serving fellow Oklahoman’s. Looking back over the years of history in Oklahoma you will find a tenacity, or grit if you will that runs through the veins of Oklahomans. During the Dust Bowl, some fled in search of greater opportunities out West. Most Oklahomans discovered that they were sold a bill of goods that simply was not true. Their journey in search of a better life was traveled down the “Mother Road” a.k.a. Route 66. The nickname of the highway was coined from the novel “Grapes of Wrath”, written by John Steinbeck, as an example of the hardships experienced by an Oklahoma family on their search for a better life in California. The Mother Road was the pathway to the West, traveled by Oklahomans to California in search of lush lands and gold to be harvested. This depiction is proof that Okie’s are not afraid of hard work and are resourceful. Oklahoma has been featured in several critically acclaimed movies, songs, and television series throughout the years, and they all represent the rich and diverse culture of The Sooner State.
Oklahoma, sitting in the middle of America’s heartland has something for everyone to enjoy. Route 66 HVAC is proud to represent many of the same characteristics in its diverse culture. Route 66 has many historical sites and wonders to visit in Oklahoma. Some of the famous stops include the Blue Whale, The Rock Café, and The Train Depot of Bristow just to name a few. The classic family road trip has almost become extinct, but with the upcoming 100th anniversary celebration of Route 66, it is being rejuvenated. There will be many events planned along the route throughout the entire year of 2026 to celebrate its centennial. Route 66 HVAC embraces the gems from the past and looks forward to the promises of tomorrow in the same way as The Mother Road. Nostalgia of simpler times gone by spent with family on road trips and roadside picnics is being reborn into a modern version. While the methods of traveling in the family car with a packed lunch may have changed over the years, the memories made are still the same, together with the people you care about. Route 66 HVAC embodies that experience and turns every service call into making memories with new family members, because with us you are not just a customer, you are family.
Prior to Oklahoma becoming a state it was known as “Indian Territory” and was occupied by various Native American tribes, including the Apache, Arapaho, Caddo, Commanche, Kiowa, Osage, and Wichita. The number of Native American tribes/nations increased greatly in the area after the implementation of the Indian Removal Act of 1830. This was a time when other nations such as the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole nations were forced to relocate from their lands to “Indian Territory”. Oklahoma and Route 66 HVAC recognizes and honors its Native American tribes through various means, including recognizing tribal sovereignty, preserving cultural heritage, and acknowledging their contributions to the state’s history and economy. It does not go past us that the path laid before us was walked by so many great people in Oklahoma’s history. Route 66 HVAC is honored to be a part of such a culture in the great state of Oklahoma. Best stated in the infamous words of late Oklahoman Will Rogers, “We will never have true civilization until we have learned to recognize the rights of others”. Route 66 HVAC & Mechanical, doing our part “to recognize the rights of others” one Okie at a time.
